Building and maintaining a robust and reliable supply base to mitigate risk and support business continuity. Managing supplier relationships, including negotiation of terms, pricing, and the use of financial instruments like letters of credit (LOCs) and bank guarantees. Leveraging SAP MRP data and internal stakeholder input to place, expedite, and reconcile purchase orders efficiently. Leading or contributing to projects that drive cost efficiencies, supplier innovation, and overall procurement excellence. Monitoring supply risks and implementing proactive mitigation strategies to avoid disruptions. Logging and resolving claims with suppliers while ensuring adherence to companys procurement policies and procedures. Continuously updating and analyzing budgets, sourcing portfolios, and KPI performance data to inform decision-making. Collaborating with cross-functional teams locally and globally to align on strategic goals and deliverables. 3 to 5 years experience in a strategic sourcing or procurement-related role. Specific knowledge of steel buying will be advantageous. Should also have a BCom degree or diploma in supply chain. A SAPICS or CIPS certification would be advantageous.
