A vacancy exists for a Stores Assistant based at Life Anncron Hospital, reporting to Annecke Barnard, Pharmacy Manager. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective management of stock in Pharmacy as well as the rest of the hospital.Critical OutputsReceiving, unpacking and storage of surgical stock received.Good housekeeping practices.Ensure regular labeling of surgical bins in the pharmacy.Assist with & manage stock distribution to units through auto transfers (MRP).Assist with cycle counts and stock takes in Pharmacy.Credit stock according to the correct process.Maintain item codes for the wards and Pharmacy.Assist with management of dead stock in Pharmacy.Assist with management of overstock in Pharmacy.Assist with stock management related to expiry dates, damaged stock, stock rotation and all ad hoc activities.When needed, assist with pick-up and delivery of prescriptions between Wards and Pharmacy.Assist with general clerical/admin duties in the Pharmacy.Drive 100% alert reporting.Effectively respond to queries and handle accordingly.Establish and maintain good relationships with nursing and other functions in the hospital.RequirementsGrade 12.Computer proficiency and exposure to an online computer system.Excel proficiency would be advantageous.Previous Pharmacy Store Assistant experience will be advantageous.Ability to function within a team and meet set goal targets.Must be able to handle the physical demands of a labor-intensive function.Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage.Must be able to work under pressure.CompetenciesAttention to detail.Problem-solving, analysis and judgement.Resilience.Engaging diversity.Verbal & written communication and presentation.Influencing.Building relationships.Customer responsiveness.Organisational awareness.Drive & energy.Excellence orientation.Ethical behaviour.Email: ****** date: Friday, September 13, 2024Internal applicants - Before making an application, you are requested to discuss your application with your line manager.
