Store & Service Department Manager

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in retail management & service-oriented departments (e.g., deli, bakery, fresh produce, or butchery) preferably in a grocery or FMCG environment (negotiable).
Leadership Skills (Store & Teams): Experience in training, mentoring, and leading service department staff to ensure high performance, compliance with company standards, and proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams to achieve results.
Operational & Departmental Expertise: Strong understanding and expertise overseeing daily operations, retail operations, stock management, financial processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and meeting performance targets.
Customer-Centric & Service Focus: Strong focus on delivering quality service and improving the customer experience within the service departments, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service for the store.
Problem Solving & Product Knowledge: Ability to troubleshoot issues, and handle pressure effectively, in-depth knowledge of the products offered in the service department, with the ability to manage sourcing, pricing, and promotions effectively.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Sigma, POS systems, and Microsoft Office.
Communication & Financial Acumen: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to interact professionally with all levels, understanding of departmental budgeting, cost control, and sales forecasting.
