The main purpose of the Stock Controller at La Residence is to ensure that all departments have sufficient stock and well-maintained assets to be able to deliver our purpose, which is "to give our guests a complete experience and a perfect stay".MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSource vendors and negotiate on pricing and qualityBe the company brand ambassador in dealings with suppliers and co-workers. Living the company's Purpose & ValuesMonitor and control stock par levels, usage and ordering to ensure operations have adequate stock to achieve efficiencies but avoiding excessive surplusCo-ordinate all stock stakes, variance analysis of all stock and stock counts and put corrective measures in placeCo-ordinating stock control operations with storeroom staff, as well as HOD's and ManagementEnsure that all procedures in the department are followed according to Standard Operations Procedures and that all required records are completed accurately and timeouslyMonitor and report on stock waste and escalate issues to managementContinuously improve and optimize stock control proceduresEnsure good communication on all levels to ensure effective and efficient operationsTo maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearanceAttend regular training and coachingPerform any other reasonable duties as requested by managementREQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONSGrade 12 (essential)3-5 years' experience as a stock controller or similar positionComputer competence.
