Overview:
The purpose of a Software Quality Analyst is to analyze and improve the current testing process while completing Medium Projects from a complexity perspective. The sphere of influence includes themselves, the team, and the team's portfolio of studios. The SQA is expected to test, plan, and prepare test strategies independently. They must also complete test reviews and improvements, conduct test execution, prepare software test environments, and troubleshoot issues on simple projects.
Responsibilities:
Test Preparation and Planning:
Estimate the effort required independently.
Plan full test coverage independently, using available templates or documentation.
Ensure planning includes optimization and risk-based approaches.
Complete planning within allocated timeframe and raise roadblocks internally at the project level.
Complete uncertain risk and edge scenario planning under guidance with final review of the test strategy.
Coordinate with the team to distribute work/tasks and plan testing in coordination with other sub-system teams.
Test Completion, Review, and Improvement:
Analyze and implement overall test improvements geared towards successful project completion.
Test Execution:
Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve execution issues, ensuring test execution aligns with quality expectations.
Prepared Software and Test Environment:
Set up and troubleshoot environment issues for simple projects and receive guidance for medium to large projects.
Escalate software and environmental issues and follow through with resolution.
Detected & Tracked Defects:
Incorporate best practices to analyze and generate defect reports contributing to latent and non-defect prevention.
Stakeholder Management:
Proactively resolve issues related to project support tasks and stakeholder management.
Adheres and Optimizes Standards and Processes:
Optimize existing standards and processes.
Leadership:
Dynamically adapt to situational changes and align the team with objectives while implementing innovation, knowledge sharing, and skill growth across all competencies.
Share knowledge of past issues and possible resolutions.
Analyze and assess projects for better results and new implementations of test strategies and approaches.
Test Consulting:
Create test strategy and test approach.
Live Testing:
Understand how deployments occur live and generate URLs independently.
Load and Performance Testing:
Execute tests with guidance from senior testers and specialists.

Qualifications:
ISTQB Foundation
IT Related BDC/BCom/Ndip & 2 years testing experience
3 years testing experience
