Our client, a global leader in the production of advanced welding consumables and automated welding equipment for wear protection, is seeking a Site Manager for a fixed-term contract based in Benoni, Gauteng. The successful candidate must have proven operational experience, a strong working knowledge of NEC3 contracts, a valid driver's license, and be prepared to travel. Excellent interpersonal skills, reliability, teamwork, and stress tolerance are essential, along with flexibility to meet client site requirements. The Site Manager will report directly to the Managing Director.
Requirements:
Proven experience with an operational background. Must have working knowledge of NEC3 contracts.
Be prepared to travel – driver's license.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Reliable, team player, stress tolerance.
Must have a clean criminal record and be willing to undergo background checks.
Must possess a clean bill of health and be able to pass all required medical assessments to access client sites.
Duties:
Responsible for SHE, personnel, as well as productivity, yield loss and quality of output.
Manage site operations including planning, organizing, and integrating resources such as labour, equipment, and technical assistance as required to complete the work scope according to the contractual requirements.
Plan the actions needed for the site work and communicate with the relevant departments to ensure execution of requirements.
Attend site meetings and act as liaison on behalf of the company.
Daily reporting in terms of progress, SHE, kgs deposited, delays and reasons for delays, quality, estimated completion and all other relevant information as required.
Report weekly on hours worked per employee on site for payroll purposes.
Inspect, maintain and store all machinery used for the site work.
All other ad hoc duties as and when required.
