Responsibilities SAP Integration Development:Develop and maintain integrations between on-premise SAP S/4 HANA and cloud applications (., ARIBA, Fieldglass, SuccessFactors) using middleware technologies.Understand functional designs and prepare technical designs, develop interfaces and mappings in SAP BTP, and perform bug fixing, testing, and documentation.Cloud Connector Configuration:Set up and configure cloud connectors for connecting SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) to on-premise applications such as SAP ECC, mail servers, and databases.Technical Expertise:Serve as a hands-on CPI middleware consultant, contributing individually to project deliverables.Manage integration technologies including BTP IS - Cloud Integration, API Management (API portal, Business Hub), and Open Connectors.Utilize API Portal to call exposed APIs through API Management.Integration Flows and Adapters:Discover standard integration flows and define custom integration flows as per project requirements.Handle integrations using various CPI adapters such as ODATA, SFTP, FTP, IDOC, RFC/BAPI, SOAP, HTTP, Process Direct, REST, AMQP, JDBC, XI Proxy Adapters.Employ data conversion techniques (., JSON to XML, CSV to XML) and use various CPI pallet options like Message transformations, Aggregator, Enricher, Splitter, etc.Scripting and Message Mapping:Write Groovy and Java scripts to enhance integration processes.Work extensively with WSDL, JSON, XML, XSD, and XSLT technologies.Implement message mapping techniques, including the creation of User-Defined Functions (UDFs) and XSLT mappings.Exception Handling and Security:Manage CPI exception handling, error notification techniques, data persistence, and retry mechanisms.Handle security artifacts and manage encryption and decryption mechanisms.Operational Support:Provide operational support for CPI development and transport design objects from non-production tenants to production tenants using methods such as Manual, CTS+, or TMS.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a CPI middleware consultant as an individual contributorUnderstanding of the functional design, prepare technical design, develop interfaces & mapping in SAP BTP, bug fixing, testing, documentationFamiliar with cloud connector setup configurations for connecting CPI to on premise applications (like: SAP ECC, Mail server, DB, Hands on exposure in BTP IS - Cloud Integration, API Management (API portal, Business Hub) and Open Connectors.Experience using API Portal to call exposed API's (via APIM)Experience in discovering standard Integration flows and defining custom Integration flows.Expertise in handling integrations using various CPI adapters: ODATA, SFTP, FTP, IDOC, RFC/BAPI, SOAP, HTTP, Process Direct, REST, AMQP, JDBC, XI Proxy Adapters.Experience in handling different data conversion techniques (like json to xml, csv to xml Experience in using various CPI pallet options (Integration patterns – Message transformations, Aggregator, Enricher, Splitter, Experience in SAP integration technologies PI, CPI, EDI, ALE/ IDOC, RFC/BAPI and API based integrations.Expertise in writing Groovy & Java scripts.Experienced in WSDL, JSON, XML, XSD and XSLT technologies.Expertise in Message Mapping techniques (including defining UDF's) and XSLT mappings.Knowledge in CPI exception handling, error notification techniques, data persistence and retry mechanisms.Knowledge in handling security artifacts, encryption, and decryption mechanismsExperience in both CPI Development and Operation Support.Ability to transport Design Objects from non-production tenants to production tenants.
