Production Manager position available with company specialising in electronic components with an assembly line that produce products that is supplied to their clients. Seasoned Production Manager with similar experience. Purpose of position: Managing the planning, coordination, and control of assembly line and manufacturing processes. To ensure that goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the correct cost and level of quality. Responsibilities: Project duries: Planning and organising production schedules. Ensuring that the production is cost effective. Ensuring that products are produced on time and are of good quality. Working out the human and material resources needed. Drafting a timescale for each job. Setting quality standards. Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programmes. Overseeing production processes and adjusting schedules as needed. Ensure selecting, ordering, and purchasing materials are on time. Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment. Liaison with different departments, e.g., purchasing, sales and technical department. Estimating, negotiating, and agreeing budgets and timescales with internal customers and managers. Ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed. Management duties: Supervising and motivating of team of employees. Reviewing working performances. Identifying training needs. Qualifications: Matric Production / Management Diploma/Degree Experience required: 5-10 years experience in Production Management Extensive experience managing in a cross-functional team environment. Management Certification from a recognized institution/association. Candidate should have good interpersonal skills for dealing with internal and external customers as well as diverse stakeholders.
