We are seeking to appoint a seasoned professional for the position of Senior Manager: People Management within the education sector. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership to enable an engaged and competent workforce by managing the total employee lifecycle from attraction to exit, and provide strategic direction, leadership, and advice in the management of Human Resources within the South African legal framework. This position reports to the CEO.Duties and responsibilities: Develop, and implement people management strategy and policy.Development, implementation and leading a learning organisation strategy and roadmap.Improve and implement the learning and development strategy.Develop a comprehensive employee value proposition strategy.Ensure a reliable HR Information System (HRIS) to inform business strategy.Lead talent management and organisational design and development, to ensure that it effectively delivers on mandate.Provide employment relations support and manage labour relations with stakeholders.Manage the People Management Business Unit.Applicants should possess the following characteristics:A dynamic, high energy transformational leader with strong managerial skills, a clear vision and focused action.Commitment to establishing balanced and productive work environments.An innovative thinker who can lead and manage change.Requirements:Must hold a relevant recognised NQF Level 7 qualification or equivalentA minimum of three years' experience in a senior management HR position or 10 years in a middle management HR position is a requirementExperience within the education sectorExtensive years of human resource management experienceSpecialist knowledge in labour law, organisational design, learning and development and providing strategic advice, is essentialPostgraduate qualification at NQF Level 8 advantageousRegistration with a human resources professional body advantageousIn-depth knowledge of all applicable legislation relating to human resourcesMicrosoft packagesSage VIP 300
