This role is Johannesburg-based, with consideration for candidates willing to relocate.
What We're Looking For:- Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in investment management.- Skills:
- Financial institutions analysis- Mezzanine or structured credit investing- Impact investing- Excellent analytical abilities- Strong communication skills (written and spoken)- Team player mentality- Appetite for learning new skills
- Qualifications: Professional qualifications commensurate with experience.- Network: A strong network with prospective investees and investors is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage investment pipelines- Originate and negotiate investments- Draft investment term sheets- Conduct due diligence, including financial analysis and management meetings- Prepare screening and investment memos- Apply investment guidelines, committee decisions, and E&S policies- Negotiate final investment agreements with legal counsel- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders- Oversee the investment and operational team- Support fund raising efforts- Contribute to the growth of the fund business, including new strategies
