Senior Inbound Travel Consultant

An independent, family owned Inbound Tour Operator, who specialises in crafting unforgettable journeys throughout Southern Africa for groups and FIT from Europe is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Travel Consultant to join dynamic, small team in our Simon's Town office.Key Responsibilities:•Develop and cost comprehensive travel itineraries for both individual and group clients across Southern Africa.•Conduct detailed assessments of Client's/Agent's needs to deliver high quality, tailored services.•Create and compile imaginative B2B quotations and itineraries.•Manage rooming lists, release dates, and ensure precise completion of all quotations.•Maintain effective communication with clients throughout the quotation process and follow up to secure confirmations.•Prepare costings of tours, issue and manage invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms.•Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive rates•Provide regular updates to the Managing Director and address client inquiries promptly.•Promote products and services to enhance guest experiences and conduct thorough destination research.Desired Experience & Qualification:Essential Requirements:•Grade 12 or equivalent.•Qualification in Tourism.•Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Inbound Consultant.Excellent knowledge of excel and costing of the itineraries•Exceptional attention to detail and multitasking ability.•Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.•Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons and handle emergencieEducation:•Diploma (Required)Experience:•travel trade: 5 years (Required)License/Certification:•Driving Licence (Required)
