We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Financial Manager to oversee the financial aspects of our project.
This role will be instrumental in managing complex financial streams, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and optimizing financial strategies aligned with our project's goals and stakeholders' interests.
What you'll do: Financial Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies that support the successful roll out of the project. Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare comprehensive budgets and financial forecasts considering the estimated project costs.Financial Reporting: Generate accurate financial reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders regularly.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with the project, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.Capital Management: Manage the capital structure of the project, including debt and equity financing, to optimize funding efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with stakeholders including government entities, financial institutions, and project partners to ensure alignment on financial goals and strategies.Performance Monitoring: Monitor financial performance against benchmarks and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.Your expertise: Experience: At least 8 years of progressive experience in financial management, with a proven track record in managing large-scale projects and complex financial structures.Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of renewable energy projects, infrastructure financing, and public-private partnerships (PPPs).Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, budget management, risk assessment, and financial reporting.Leadership Skills: Strong leadership capabilities with experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound financial decisions based on data and insights.Qualifications: Qualification required:Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.Qualification preferred:Master's degree or professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.Personal attributes: Strategic Vision: Ability to think strategically and contribute to the overall business strategy of the project.Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.Integrity: Demonstrates high ethical standards and integrity in all financial dealings.Innovative: Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.Other information applicable to the opportunity: Location: Roodepoort, JohannesburgWork Model: Onsite (Monday to Friday)
