Senior Buyer - Gauteng

The Senior Buyer will play a critical role in our clients procurement team, responsible for managing the purchasing of materials and services for civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in buying civil engineering materials, experience negotiating with suppliers, and excellent communication skills.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement procurement strategies for civil engineering projectsSource and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and servicesReview and analyze purchasing contracts and agreements to ensure complianceCollaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and timelinesMonitor supplier performance and conduct supplier evaluationsIdentify opportunities for cost savings and process improvementsMaintain accurate records of purchasing activities and expendituresRequirements:Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in Civils, Cement, Construction or related industryStrong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliersProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing softwareExcellent communication and organizational skillsKnowledge of civil engineering materials and industry trendsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesCIPS qualification is desirableContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.We will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
