QualificationA Degree in Accounting (Honors preferred) or a Professional Accounting QualificationRequirementsMinimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role, specifically handling accounts up to management level.Proven experience with Syspro and Pastel Partner software.Prior experience in the manufacturing sector, particularly in steel, will be advantageous.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial analysis, and a strong understanding of management accounts.DutiesPrepare monthly financial reports, including the management accounts pack, accurately and timeously.Utilize Syspro for financial data management, ensuring all entries and processes align with company standards.Record general ledger journals, complete reconciliations, and provide financial analysis.Assist with operational finance requirements as needed, supporting other team functions.Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with management.Conduct financial analysis and interpretation of company results, providing insights to senior management.Prepare year-end reporting packs and manage the external audit process, liaising with auditors and other stakeholders.Document, update, and implement internal financial control processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency.Communicate effectively with the finance team (debtors, creditors) and coordinate with the sales and stock departments.Complete all statutory returns, including VAT, Tax, UIF, COIDA, Employment Equity, and Skills Development.
