Job Description:Sappi Ngodwana Mill requires a Buyer to take responsibility for the transactional process of purchasing goods for engineering stores as governed by the procurement policy and/or sourcing strategies.(ads1)Job Responsibilities:Participate in procurement and order planning including projects and shuts.Advise internal customers on revised lead times and specification changes.Ensure that certificates of conformance are supplied where required.Liaise with suppliers with regards to outstanding orders that appear on the Expediting Report.Timeously ensure that all materials are sourced and procured according to specification, in accordance with the procurement policy and/or as detailed in the sourcing strategy.Communicate with internal and external customers to resolve deviations eg: late deliveries, material returns and invoice variances.Proactively expedite delivery due reminders.Maintain vendor master data.Coordinate with clearing and forwarding agents.Promote supplier management relationships.Coordinate local logistics touch points.Provide daily written feedback on Price Variance Report.Escalate and report on supplier non-performance.Issue, evaluate and award tenders timeously, in accordance with the procurement policy.Assist with achieving departmental savings objectives.Job Requirements:Experience as an Artisan advantageous. .Diploma in Supply Chain Management or any relevant qualification.SAP MM experienceA minimum of 3 – 5 years' experience in industrial, procurement or materials management environmentJob Details:Company:SappiVacancy Type:Full TimeJob Location:MbombelaApplication Deadline: N/A(ads2)Apply Hereinstantcareers.net#J-18808-Ljbffr
