South Africa is a key market for our client, where the company is the leader in terms of generation capacity in construction and under operation. The Sales Manager shall lead and manage sales functions within the South African organization. The role scope covers sales of equipment and services associated. To properly achieve the targets of this role, the Sales Manager must have a high level of interaction with all market stakeholders, getting the right contacts and being precisely informed of market needs and competitive intelligence. The Sales Manager is responsible for judging, qualifying and reporting about opportunities in terms of profitability, probability of success and timings. The individual will be the public face of The company for all topics related to business development and will represent the company in public events and associations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:Management of Sales ActivitiesFull responsibility and accountancy for Sales of wind turbine generators and services associated with itFull responsibility for O&M Sales activitiesLead the back-office teamPricing strategyProduct strategy in the marketMarket Intelligence and Front Office RelationshipBe the leading point of interface between customers and the company.Maintain and improve relationships with customers and stakeholdersCreate regular and fluent channels of communication with customersCreate genuine and trustful relationshipsOpportunities LeadershipResponsible and accountable for the company attending RFIs and RFQsResponsible and accountable for proactive proposals in line with sales strategyResponsible and accountable for deliverables on due time and formResponsible for proposing the right solution for customers, and maximizing the profitability of the operationLead customer with internal team support during contractual negotiationsEnsure proper reporting & lessons learnt exercises after closing a project or after losing a deal.ReportingResponsible for keeping updated CRM platformResponsible for the team prioritising internally the tasks as per business prioritiesReporting of market intelligence and potential improvement actionsValue Proposition and Competitive AnalysisResponsible for doing an accurate process of value proposition before proposing solutions to customersActive collection of feedback and market information about market trends and competition value proposalCompany RepresentationRepresent the company in associations and sector eventsBe part of the strategy of communicationsQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:A Degree in Engineering or Business Administration is requiredMBA will be valuableExperience in Sales of Wind Energy Equipment and ServicesExperience in the South African market REIPPP auction program and Private PPAPrevious experience in the wind industry before Sales will be valuableStrong interpersonal skillsGood communicator oral and written (fluent in English. Valuable Afrikaans and Spanish)Ability to create genuine and trustful relationshipsAbility to present key concepts in an executive manner to internal stakeholdersAbility to work under pressurePlanning, prioritizing and time management skillsHigh capacity of analysis and processing inputsComfortable with multicultural environments
