Safety Officer

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a full SACPMCP certificate and possess a strong background in health and safety management. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Key Requirements:SACPMCP Certificate:•Important: Must hold a full SACPMCP certificate (candidate certificates will not be accepted).Education:•A diploma or degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.Experience:•Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Safety Officer in an industrial or construction environment.Regulatory Knowledge:•Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.Communication Skills:•Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans and English.Problem-Solving:•Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Supervisory Skills:•Experience in supervising and training staff on safety procedures and policies.Technical Skills:•Proficiency in using safety management software and reporting systems.Certification and Training:•Additional relevant certifications such as First Aid, Fire Fighting, or other safety training are beneficial.Fitness and Mobility:•Physically capable of meeting the demands of the position, including the ability to move and inspect work sites or construction areas.Other Requirements:•Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
