OverviewHire Resolve is currently seeking a qualified Safety Officer to join a reputable mining company based in Rustenburg.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all safety regulations are adhered to, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a culture of safety among all employees.
Your primary goal will be to minimize risks and ensure that safety protocols are followed at all times.ResponsibilitiesDevelopment of JRA, WRAC and etc.Safety Inspections and reportingImplement and ensure maintenance of safety systems, standards and proceduresSafety internal and external auditsSafety systems trainingSafety database maintenanceSafety audit reportsIncident investigations and inquiriesAccident / incident reportsSafety and Risk initiativesLegal compliance and audit reportsAnalysis reportsAccident control registerMonitoring of emergency preparedness programmesCheck compliance to safety systemsCheck corrective actions statusRequirementsNational Diploma or BTech in Safety Management.Candidate/Professional Registration with SACPCMP.Grade 12 Numeracy and Literacy at NQF Level 4.COMSOC 1 and 2 or SAMTRAC.Operational Risk Management Training.Computer Literacy (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Accident Investigations.First aid certificate.ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.Valid SA driver's licence.Three (3) years relevant Mining Experience.Mine Health & Safety Act (MHSA).Excellent Management skills.Excellent Communication skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.BenefitsSalary negotiableContactHire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
