A beautiful lodge is seeking an experienced and dedicated Resident Manager to oversee all aspects of daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of luxury service and guest satisfaction. As the Resident Manager, you will live on-site and be responsible for managing staff, ensuring smooth operations, and creating exceptional guest experiences in an exclusive, luxury setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all day-to-day operations of the lodge, ensuring the seamless delivery of 5-star services and experiences.
Lead and manage a diverse team across various departments, including front office, housekeeping, F&B, guest services, and maintenance.
Ensure that all guest inquiries, requests, and complaints are handled promptly and professionally, with a focus on exceeding guest expectations.
Monitor guest feedback and implement continuous improvements to enhance the guest experience.
Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance reviews to maintain the highest standards of service delivery.
Work closely with the Executive Chef and F&B team to ensure top-tier dining experiences for guests, including special events and private dining.
Oversee lodge budgets, manage cost controls, and ensure financial targets are met while maintaining operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and local regulatory requirements across all departments.
Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and local partners to ensure smooth operational support.
Conduct regular inspections of the property, guest rooms, and common areas to ensure they are impeccably maintained and meet the lodge's luxury standards.
Lead the coordination of special events, weddings, and private functions at the lodge.
Act as the face of the lodge, building and maintaining relationships with high-profile guests, travel agents, and tour operators.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Resident Manager, Lodge Manager, or similar leadership role in a luxury lodge, or resort.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding guest service.
Comprehensive understanding of hospitality operations, including F&B, housekeeping, front office, and maintenance.
Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management, cost control, and meeting revenue targets.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle challenging situations calmly and efficiently.
Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to live on-site and work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
A degree or diploma in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience working in a remote or safari lodge environment is an advantage.
