Minimum Requirements:Registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC)Certificate in Enrolled NursingFluency in English and XhosaGood Clinical Practice Certification (advantageous)Relevant clinical trial experience (will be advantageous)Keen interest in Research (particularly TB/HIV)Excellent Computer Literacy (proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel; as well as research databases)Valid Drivers LicenseGood interpersonal, communication and time management skillsExcellent organisational skills Responsibilities include (but not limited to):Oversee all trial related activities for all sites - enrolment, recruitment, informed consent and randomization processManagement / Co-ordination of study participantsScreen participants for inclusion into studies using specified inclusion criteriaScheduling of participants for clinical examination and follow upPerform all delegated study procedures, i.e.
vital signs, electrocardiographys (ECGs), collect laboratory and pharmacokinetic (PK) specimens, etc.Prepare laboratory specimens for shipping or transporting to laboratoryProviding nursing care to Early Bacterial Activity (EBA) unit in-patient and out-patientsManagement of participant records: maintain, retrieve and file according to study visits.
This includes laboratory and procedure resultsMaintain applicable study logs (screening, enrolment, participant confidential identification log, AE tracking, etc.
)Additional Information:This position will be based in Mowbray, Cape Town.6-month Fixed Term ContractWorking hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.Only shortlisted candidates.
