PURPOSE OF POSITION
To provide age-appropriate patient care according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Practice within your scope of practice as a Registered Nurse.
Experience in nursing a ventilated patient.
Competent with the Hospital's Policies and Regulations.
Ability to lead and supervise staff.
Attend to patient care within the Ward.
Address patient complaints.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse.
Preferably two or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
ICU trained.
Prepared to do shift work (Night shift / Day Shift).
Computer literate – MS Word & Excel.

SKILLS

Excellent telephone skills.
Excellent inter-personal skills.
Ability to work independently under minimum supervision.
Good interpersonal skills with doctors, patients, and colleagues.
