He/she will also have to:Meeting with suppliers and negotiate terms of contracts, rates and pricesMaintaining relationship with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliersRegular review of supplier rates, research the market for best pricesProvide support and advice to management and staff in relation to procurement and storesEnsure that procurement activities increase the profitability of the company.Ensure that material, equipment arrive on time and that suppliers are paid on timeProvide feedback on areas of cost saving and execution thereofOversee preparation, review and process of purchase orders and stock systemsOversee administration of all procurement activities in GautengEnsure that all purchases comply with the company procurement policy and proceduresLiaise with other departments within the organization to establish and support their requirementsStores and stock managementCategory managementMonthly reporting to Exco management.
Qualifying experience:Relevant Degree/Diploma in Procurement and Stores ManagementMinimum of 5 years' previous experience in a Stores/Procurement environmentGood negotiating and networking skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsComputer Literate: Proficient in MS Office, internet and e-mailHave own reliable transport and valid drivers licenseQualifying attributes:Ability to follow Company Policies and proceduresMust be trustworthy, reliable, loyal and honestAbility to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities and to act in the best interest of the CompanyAccuracy and attention to detailExcellent communication, motivation and problem-solving skillsAbility to multi-task We regret that it is not possible to contact all unsuccessful applicants.
