The candidate will be responsible to improve overall dealer performance, through a process of analyzing dealer financial performance, consulting with the management of underperforming dealers and the development and monitoring of corrective action plans so as to ensure a financially strong dealer organization, which will improve vehicle sales and workshop output, increase market share, improve customer & dealer satisfaction whilst simultaneously protecting the Groups interestsDuties:Dealer Financial Reporting:Ensure timely, complete, and accurate monthly financial and quantitative reporting by all dealers and oversee the mapping and maintenance of the dealers' DMS and financial reporting software.Manage late reporting and ensure adherence to deadlines while preparing key financial reports for senior management to support decision-making.Business Management Consulting:Analyze monthly all dealers in Regional Business Manager (RBM) area, making use of both financial, non-financial & benchmark information.Monitor dealer performance through KPI metrics such as Sales to Target and CEM performance, link these indicators to financial outcomes, and improve results by developing and implementing individual performance plans.Manage dealer concerns, escalate them to top management, develop countermeasures, and consult on cost minimization programs. Also, initiate and implement best practices for cost and revenue optimization across the dealer network.Steer corrective action plans with cross-functional field team involvement and dealership management to measure progress and be adjusted where necessary over a minimum 6-month period. Set internal targets for Profit before Tax (%) and other strategic measurements for each dealer in RBM area to achieve national average PBT% target.Benchmark processes and results with the top 3 regional performers and train new dealer personnel, including DPs and Financial Managers, on financial reporting and data mapping.Review new dealer applications for financial planning before final approval and assess business valuations and financial viability for ownership changes, performance improvements, and dealer representation strategy.Conduct dealer review meetings, prepare financial inputs for AG reporting, assist with ad hoc financial queries, and develop a forecasting methodology to establish a national average PBT% target using budget assumptions and historical data.Qualification:Post Graduate degree in finance or equivalentCA (SA) qualification (advantage) Experience:5 years experience in:A Wholesale manufacturer environment, with financial & business consulting experienceFinancial management of a motor retail businessDealer Management system operational experience preferable
