RAW MATERIALS CONTROLLERJob PurposeThis role takes overall accountability for accurately determining raw material requirements and carrying outinventory control activities on raw materials to ensure the right materials are available in the right amountsto meet manufacturing needs.Key Accountabilities and OutputsRaw Materials Management Manage the efficient inbound delivery (receiving) of raw materialsEffectively determine Raw Material requirements to meet manufacturing needsCarry out inventory control activities on raw materials ensuring that the right inventory is available in the right amounts at the right timeEnsure procured raw materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficientEffectively track production volumes and monitor customer demand patterns and purchasing trendsSchedule and oversee the supply and delivery of raw materials General Business, Financial and People ManagementActively participate in operational planning and budgeting processesDrive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices,processes and systemsEnsure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards and controlsControl cost and take the necessary action to mitigate any financial risks or non-complianceEnsure that the right people capacity is in place and manage employee performance through effective and goal directed people leadershipAdherence to the Quality, Food Safety, Health, Safety and Environmental StandardsAdherence to Standards: Ensure strict adherence to Quality, Food, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards.Enforcement: Enforce all food safety and health regulations, policies, and requirements at all times to guarantee a secure work environment.Personal Hygiene: Maintain exceptional personal hygiene as per the organization's code of conduct.Contamination Control: Raise awareness about potential physical product contamination and implement control measures to prevent it.Health and Safety Measures: Take reasonable precautions to prevent health and safety hazards.Follow the prescribed incident reporting procedure in case of accidents.Knowledge and Compliance: Stay updated with relevant business information, policies, processes, and procedures. Enforce compliance with legislative and statutory requirements, as well as GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices).Training: Attend and enforce the implementation of learnings from training sessions related toQuality, Food Safety, and Health and Safety.Housekeeping: Maintain high levels of cleanliness and orderliness within the work environment.Qualifications and Experience NQF 6 Qualification (Logistics or Inventory)Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4 (Essential)Up to 4 years experience (Operational Execution) Computer Skills; Stock control;MS Excel; SAP; MS PowerPoint; MS Word; E Mail
