Purpose of the job: To manage Quality Management Systems (BRMP) in sharepoint and Processes to achieve plant specificobjectives and meet Customer Specific Requirements (CSR)Minimum Requirements: Matric National Diploma in Quality Management or EngineeringCertificates in Trained Auditor ISO 9001;2015; IATF 16949:2016 & VDA 6.3:2016 Previous Experience in similar role Main Responsibilities: Quality Strategy: Develop the Total Quality Strategic Plan and ensure implementation for the PlantProvide Strategic and Change Leadership to the Total Quality TeamQuality Management: Manage Quality at Source (Green Areas)Manage requirements related to Quality and other standards (IATF 16949:2016'ISO 9001:2015 & VDA6.3:2016)Drive Quality Empowerment into ManufacturingFacilitate action teams and improvement program's to continually improve on identified risksCompile Quality Topics for Quality Awareness Training in conjunction with Training DepartmentPlan and set up testing programmes to investigate Quality issues and recommend changesQuality Assurance: Maintain IATF 16949:2016 CertificationContribute to and improve on the operation of the Quality Assurance system and manage andimplement the Quality Assurance systemDevelop and approve Quality Procedures, Work Instructions, etc., Plant specificAudits: Co-ordinate and facilitate customer audits of the product and product capabilityConduct internal System audits 1st Tier IATF 16949:2016 and Process audits, 1st Tier, VDA 6.3:2016Assist with Product AuditsSupply Quality Assurance (SQA): Specify Supplier Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL's) (Tolerances, Drawing requirements, Tooling, PPM'setc.
)Analyse Supplier Performance (Product Quality, Special Status, etc.)
and make recommendationsQuality Control:  Establish and manage Critical Control Points in the ProcessAnalyse the PPM's and defect trends and make recommendations Information Management and Direction Focussing: Ensure data collection and analyses of data trends and focus areas for improvement drivesConduct Plant Management ReviewsAdvanced Product Quality Planning (APQP): Review Quality Risks of APQP activitiesEnsure compliance to process and Customer Specific RequirementsApprove Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) prior to Customer submissionProvide input to the Contract Review ProcessContinuous Improvement: Research and evaluate alternative Quality testing equipmentIdentify, suggest and implement corrective actions to improve QualityDevelop an updated Continuous Improvement PlanPeople Management: Ensure an enabling climate/cultureEnsure a safe, secure and legal working environmentManage individual, team and departmental performance to achieve organisational objectivesCompile and update Performance Contracts and Individual Development Plans and facilitate individualcareer path planningDetermine the training needs of the DepartmentConduct Performance Reviews and manage sub-standard performanceCoach and counsel people to ensure improved performance levelsEnsure discipline is maintained in department (absenteeism, lateness, overtime, misconduct, etc.
)Resolve grievances and disputesSHE: Conduct continuous Risk Assessments in the workplaceConduct Planned Task Observations in the workplaceIdentify potential hazards and critical safety issues in the workplaceAddress workplace hazards and risksApply safety, health and environment practices and legal requirements when working on machinesand equipment Key Skills and Competencies: Computer skills (MS Office)Demonstrate an understanding of QMS StandardsDemonstrate an understanding of the Integrity of Measurement and Control Philosophy of a processDemonstrate an understanding of APQP; PPAP; MSA; Control Plans; PFMEA (Core Tools)
