SplashOut has an exciting opportunity available for a Quality Controller to be based in Umhlanga, Durban. The successful incumbent responsible for maintaining and administering the quality function in the signage (and related) sectors. The quality controller will manage and maintain the quality standards of orders or related items through the production cycle or workflow through the various departments, this includes (but is not limited to), digital printing, large format printing, finishing, fabrication, and installations. The quality controller will be responsible for approving all items prior to dispatch.Minimum Requirements3 to 5 years' experience in similar roleValid Driver's LicenseAdvantageousISO9001 KnowledgeResponsibilitiesQuality Control Responsible for the effective management and administration of the quality control function in the following departments (but not limited to):Print Room: ensure that all media and substrates conform to the required specifications. Printed items conform to the required size, colour and colour consistency etc.Finishing: ensure items are completed according to the customer or application requirements, this may include (but not limited to), lamination, trimming, engraving, welding, stitching and installation of fittings and components and other related finishing requirements within the signage industry.Fabrication: ensure all fabricated items are completed to the required specifications, this may include (but not limited to), manufacturing of steel, aluminum, and wood frames. Heat and channel bending.
