The successful incumbent will report to the Quality Control Supervisor. A completed Food Technology or Food Sciences degree coupled with proven experience within a food manufacturing environment is required.Key Performance AreasAudit by inspection the quality of finished productsAudit by inspection the quality of processed and/or wrapped productHygiene and Housekeeping MaintenanceControl of measuring and monitoring equipment – X-raysEnsure proper stock rotation and handling of work in progress (WIP)Assist with testing of raw and packaging materials when requiredVerify cleaning on all production linesBe part of the GMP and process audit team AAssist the QC Supervisor with Quality Management System duties i.e. non-conformance control; spec system; etc.Experience RequiredAt least 1 year QA/QC Technician experience gained within an FMCG / Food or Beverages environment requiredAbility to work shifts essentialAudit and compliance knowledgeUnderstanding of GMP and HACCPQualificationsA completed National Diploma in Food Technology / Microbiology OR a completed BSc in Food Sciences / Microbiology essentialCompetenciesPlanning and OrganisingDelivering Results and Meeting Customer ExpectationsFollowing instructions and ProceduresWorking with PeopleCoping with Pressure and Setbacks
