Quality Control Officer

Educational requirements:MatricDiploma in Quality ManagementExperience requirements:3 5 years manufacturing and/or laboratory experienceHazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Hygiene PracticesISO22000 (advantage)Key performance areas:Complete all records accurate according to procedures and take all completed records to the FS Office for filing.Visual inspections - Ensure that factory complies to hygiene standards and GMPs to avoid compromising product quality standards.Accurate identification non-conforming products, verification of infrared thermometers and in line quality control tests (leakers, brine strength etc.).Quality control - Raise CAR's (Corrective Action Requests) for all non conformities and identify out-of-spec products and ensure a positive product release programme on all final products, ingredients and packaging material.Health, safety, quality and hygiene - Conduct daily measurements to ensure statutory compliance, personal hygiene (incl. canteens & change rooms) and product quality are met.Pest control Perform monthly pest control inspection on all control devices.Final product checks after packing (no loose bags, no bad quality / appearance, correct dates and batch numbers; correct labels).Accurate completion of records and reporting of any non-conformities; stop production when there is a food safety risk, compromising quality risks and unhygienic practices.
