Job Description The FAIS (Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services) Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the compliance, regulatory adherence, and operational efficiency of the FAIS department. This role will be required to manage a team of quality assurance specialists to ensure that the team is delivering high-quality advisory services and adherence to regulatory standards set by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) and other relevant bodies. The FAIS Supervisor will manage daily operations, support team development, and contribute to risk management and process improvement.
Are you someone who can do the following: Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:Monitor and ensure that all financial advisory services and intermediary activities comply with FAIS regulations and the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act.Keep abreast of changes in financial services regulations and provide guidance to team members on compliance requirements.Conduct regular audits and reviews of client files, records, and transactions to verify adherence to FAIS requirements.Team Supervision & Development:Supervise a team of Agents and Quality specialists to ensure efficient service delivery and adherence to internal policies and external regulations.Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance team members' technical skills, compliance knowledge, and customer service abilities.Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing.Client Interaction & Relationship Management:Ensure the team delivers high-quality customer service while addressing client needs, queries, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.Handle escalated client issues or complaints and ensure appropriate resolutions.Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and other departments.Risk Management & Reporting:Identify potential risks related to FAIS compliance and operational processes, and implement mitigation strategies.Prepare and submit regular reports on team performance, compliance activities, and regulatory changes to senior management.Participate in internal and external audits, addressing findings and ensuring timely corrective actions.Process Improvement:Continuously review and improve internal procedures to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and ensure compliance with FAIS regulations.Support the implementation of new systems or processes that improve service delivery and operational performance.You will be an ideal candidate if you have the following: Education:MatricFAIS-related qualifications, such as a Regulatory Exam (RE) or similar certification.Must be FAIS fit and proper on the following categories: 1.2, 1.22, 1.23 & 1.6Experience:A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a financial advisory, compliance, or supervisory role within the financial services industry.Strong understanding of the FAIS Act and regulatory environment governing financial advisory and intermediary services.Proven experience in managing a team, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of financial products, services, and advisory processes.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.You will have access to: Opportunities to network and collaborateA challenging working environmentOpportunities to innovateWe can be a match if you are: Adaptable and curiousStrong Administrative, Call Centre and Service acumenProcess thinking, planning & implementation.Are you interested to take the step?
