QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN - SA STEELWORKS AIRPORT INDUSTRIA -CAPE TOWN SA Steelworks has a Qualified Electrician position available at SA Steelworks.
The successful candidate will provide support to the Electrical Department and will be situated at our Branch in the Airport Industria, Cape Town.
The successful candidate will report to the Electrical Team Leader. RESPONSIBILITIES: Building of and Installing new electrical systemsMaintaining and repairing installed electrical systemsConnection of motors and control switchgearMaintaining service records of electrical equipmentLiaising with other departmental staff, supervisors and managersUsing APIPRO to plan, track and record tasksEnsuring that all work will comply with regulations in the OHSA and the company policies and proceduresRequest required materials for daily tasks and projects from the Electrical ManagerEnsure that your understand the 24/7 operational needs and facilitate production goalsPoint to point IO checks on PLCsPoint to point IO checks on control and power systemsParticipate in the RCM programRead and use electrical diagramsEnsure work standards are achievedEnsure the effective use of resourcesPOSITION REQUIREMENTS: Relevant tertiary qualification8+ years of relevant working experienceAble to work in a pressurized and demanding environmentMust have your own reliable transportMust have a valid driver's licenseGood communication skillsWork overtime and standby as required by the process demandsAbility to perform within a teamWe regret that it is not possible to contact all unsuccessful applicants.
