If you have a keen eye for detail and are passionate about quality assurance, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.Purpose of the Position:To develop packaging specifications for all components and create packing documents for all products, ensuring compliance with quality standards and production requirements.Duties and Responsibilities:Develop technical packaging specifications and packing documents in collaboration with applicants, suppliers, and production departments.Proofread specifications and packing documents, and approve them as the QA Packaging Specialist.Supervise the QC Packing Department to ensure timely sampling, testing, and release of materials.Conduct technical trials in QA packaging to assess the suitability of new components before they are introduced to production.Assist with customer complaints related to packaging quality, as required.Provide troubleshooting support in the packing halls when necessary.Recommend packaging configurations and styles in coordination with engineering and production teams.Determine material quantities required for each packaging component.Prepare document change notes (CRFs) for any changes in packaging component codes or packing instructions.Proofread artwork for production as an initial check, with Regulatory Affairs performing a secondary review.Adjust shipper dimensions to accommodate new product requirements or content configuration changes.Coordinate with shipper manufacturers to supply samples and layouts for new specifications.Update packing documents and specifications as needed to reflect changes required by contract givers or business needs.Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety Regulations at all times.Qualifications and Experience:Grade 12Packing Technology DiplomaStrong mathematical and computer skillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as procedure manualsProficiency in writing routine reportsAbility to apply common sense to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram formCompetence in addressing problems involving several concrete variables in standardised situations.Core Competencies:We are looking for a candidate who can keep priorities in focus and meet deadlines while demonstrating strong planning and organisational skills.
