About Us We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support, and life skills to get them back into education, training, and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.

Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.

Our Psychotherapy team is an integral part of our Therapeutic Service, comprising 14 dedicated psychotherapists. Our team operates within a framework of flexibility and creativity, ensuring effective engagement with young people in need of psychotherapy or counselling services. This role will specifically contribute to delivering psychological therapies within our London-based services, extending our vital support to young people in this region.

About You Experience working with homeless or vulnerable young adults aged 16-25 in a mental health setting is essential. Relevant post-graduate level qualification(s) in psychotherapy and/or psychology. Current registration or accreditation with a professional body (BACP, UKCP, BPS, HCPC). Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team alongside other health practitioners. Proficiency in managing a caseload of young people, collaborating effectively with Centrepoint colleagues, partner organisations, and local services. Familiarity with primary healthcare and public health initiatives, with a willingness to acquire new skills. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present issues clearly to various audiences. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Understanding of and ability to use information technology and management systems. This is a very challenging and exciting role for someone with the relevant skills, qualities, enthusiasm, and commitment. You will be an experienced individual who thrives in a culture of change and innovation; someone who wishes to make a real, enduring, and sustainable difference to the lives of the Young People that Centrepoint supports.

Why Join Centrepoint? In return for your efforts you'll receive a competitive salary, excellent training and development, and a host of staff benefits including:

25 days of annual leave per year, rising by one day per year to a maximum of 27 days. Healthcare cash plan (covering costs of a wide range of medical treatment including Dental, Optical, Complementary, and Alternative therapies). Private Medical insurance. Income protection. Employer pension contributions of 5%. Access to Cycle 2 Work loan scheme. An interest-free travel loan. At Centrepoint, we challenge the discrimination within society that contributes to youth homelessness, and we are just as committed to fairness and equality within Centrepoint itself. We are passionate about ensuring all of our colleagues feel included in the work we do and that we value the rich diversity within the organization.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications regardless of sex, gender, race, age, belief in any religion and none, gender identity, ethnic origin, class, sexuality, nationality, appearance, unrelated criminal activities, disability, responsibility for dependents, part-time or shift workers, being HIV positive or living with AIDS, lived experience of homelessness, or using young people's services, and any other matter which causes a person to be treated with injustice.

Centrepoint's policy is to recruit, employ, and promote people based on their suitability for the work to be performed, and to this end, our aim is to ensure that all applicants, employees, and volunteers receive equal treatment.

Application Process: Regardless of any CV you upload, you must use the 'Application Form' part of the system to explain how your skills, experience, and knowledge equip you to do the various elements of the job marked 'AF' under Role Specification on the Role Profile. Begin the 'Application Form' by stating: postgraduate qualification in full; training organisation; the awarding body; your Registration body; your Registration number.
