An exciting opportunity exists for aProject TechnicianatNATIONAL BRANDS LIMITED (NBL) Westmead Biscuits. The successful incumbent will be responsible for providing support on engineering related projects.

Job Specification:
Key Performance Areas:
Technical support to the Projects Manager to evaluate and scope a project or new installation
Manage the technical scope of the installation and/or alteration of a new or existing part of the plant or machinery
Do drawings, measurements, layouts and plan evaluations on new or modified plant installations
Evaluate and include continuous improvement on plant operation and safety regarding general operation and new installations
Assist the projects Manager during the installation and commissioning of new plant and machinery installations
Draw up a detailed project time plan and resource allocation for each project
Manage the cost and labor of the installation regarding subcontractors, riggers and specialist technical external resources during installation
Do risk assessments with the projects Manager for each project
Technical support and training to the artisans and production staff during and after installation
Assess and evaluate the success of each installation
Take part in the factory acceptance testing of new equipment as requested
Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
At least 3 to 5 years' experience a Project Technician, Project Coordinator or Junior Project Engineer
FMCG/ Food Manufacturing industry experience essential
Proficient in AutoCAD (Advanced)
Qualifications:
N6 or National Diploma in Mechanical- or Electrical Engineering
Qualification relating to Project Management
AutoCAD certificate

Fault finding diagnostics
Understand methodology of preventative and pro-active maintenance
Understanding of budget cost control
