Details of the offer

The position provide support to Various Project managers and report directly to the project department HOD. A ProjectSupport Officer will perform the following specific roles:- Ensure the agreed project management methods, standards and processes are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.- Assist the Project Manager and Team Managers in the production and maintenance of project plans.- Take responsibility for the transport and logistics arrangements required on various projects.- Assist the Project manager in the execution of his day to day duties.- Develop and maintain the project library, filing, recording and reporting systems.- Develop (In conjunction with the project department HOD) and implement appropriate configuration management procedures- Co-ordinate the production of all reports and produce project summary reports.- Set up and maintain systems for recording project costs.- Define and document procedures in accordance with agreed methodology- Advise and assist project team members in the application of project procedures, disciplines and recording and reporting standards.- Maintain risk and issue logs and change control records.- Develop and support effective communication mechanisms between the project teams.- Undertake any other administrative tasks as specified by the Project ManagerResponsibilities:The position will have the following general responsibilities:- Reporting on progress, resources, finance or costing- Assist the project manager in overseeing projects, mitigating risks and solving issues- Quality assurance, for example through collating data, auditing or compliance checks- Scheduling meetings and setting agendas for the project team- Internal and external stakeholder management- Identify ways in which processes may be improved and put forward such proposals for the project manager to consider.- Contribute to formal process reviews to help enable our teams to become more efficient in their processes.- To be clear, assertive and patient communicator.- Carry out any other duties and projects as required by the Project Manager, commensurate with the level of the post- To maintain a first class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.- To work within the relevant legislation, policies and procedures.- To attend training courses as identified and agreed for appropriate development.- Undertaking other duties not specifically stated which from time to time are necessary without altering the nature or level of responsibility.Requirements:The following are the requirements for the position:- Post Graduate Degree in Business management, project management or Electrical Engineering- Knowledge and experience of a formal project management methodology- A high degree of computer literacy including advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite and a willingness and skill to learn new programs quickly.- Project planning ability- Experience of working in a Project/Manufacturing environment- Ability to analyze and present information
