Project Coordinator: Business Intelligence (3-year fixed term contract)THE KEY RESULT AREAS OF THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Organize Project Meetings: The Project Coordinator will meet with project team members to review progress and discuss future steps.Maintain Documents: Responsible for maintaining crucial project documents which track project progress and filing project POE with the Project Administrator.Identify Problems or Risks: Identify any potential issues or risks that could affect the progression of projects.Data Collection: Ensure data is collected from various sources across the province to be loaded on the Provincial Data Centre, including data about disasters.Report Writing: Write various project progress reports and contribute to BI briefing reports and Provincial M&E reports.Data Capturing: Capture non-digital data across the province onto the Provincial Data Centre using digital data capturing tools.Data Validation: Ensure data is validated for accuracy, assisting in resolving any identified issues.Stakeholder Engagement: Forge relationships with stakeholders who are key in realizing project success.Assist with Planning: Plan and coordinate workshops, roadshows, and site visits.Provincial BI Task Team Administration: Undertake coordination, secretarial, and administrative work for the provincial BI task team and Provincial M&E.Data Governance Administrative Work: Assume all administrative work regarding Data Governance compliance of the provincial data centre.OTHER TASKS: The successful Project Coordinator will be an analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, able to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment. The candidate will be a team player with a high level of self-motivation and ability to set and meet goals. In addition to these general skills, the Project Coordinator candidates will possess the following skills:
Thorough familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and project scheduling computer applications.Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently.Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Research capability and knowledge of research methodologies.Excellent critical and creative thinking and analytical skills.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: An Honors' Degree with knowledge of Research Methodologies.Good understanding of public participation and engagement methods of data analysis and collection.Good understanding of governmental citizen engagement processes and application legislations.Problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.Specific industry knowledge and communication skills.Technical proficiency in the use of Survey Tools such as ArcGIS.Excellent project management skills and business acumen.EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years' experience working in Project Management and 2 years' experience in analytics in a multi-stakeholder environment.Extensive experience in organizing and coordinating meetings and workshops.Awareness of the Eastern Cape development landscape.EXTENT OF STAKEHOLDER NETWORK: Extensive knowledge and network of relevant stakeholders in the Eastern Cape.
