Description You as a Project controller HV Products and service will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Modderfontein, South Africa. Your role entailed supporting project business and service order execution team with costing analysis and reporting to ensure sustainable and profitable financial performance and including continuous evaluation of planned costs vs actual costs and supporting with mitigation and remediation for any cost deviation outside of the allowable or budgeted costs.Your responsibilities Supporting the tender and quotations specialists on financial aspects during offer preparation, risk review and providing input to negotiations on commercial issues.Monitoring and controlling all sales orders and service order financial performance by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data for multiple projects at the same time.Acting as a business partner responsible for all financial and commercial matters and prepare monthly project reviews and project cost reports.Supporting in monthly or quarterly forecasting and verification for cost to complete.Providing support on claim management and monitors the proper follow up together with the contract manager or project managerPreparing project invoices. Drive project cash flow and oversee currency risk and tax issues.Implementing and ensuring compliance with global and local financial standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to operations or project execution.Sharing functional best practices and lessons learned across the organizationLiving Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your backgroundA bachelor's degree in management accounting or relevant commercial or financial field is required.Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience in Project controlling or similar financial role with knowledge of industry specific tools and software is a must.Minimum CIMA Level 1 certification is required.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex financial concepts in a simplified manner.Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
