Our client is a well-established company in the mining sector, and they are looking for a Procurement Manager to handle their procurement processes and ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement.
As a Procurement Manager in the Mining industry, you will be responsible for managing the procurement activities, including sourcing and procurement of goods, services, and equipment required for mining operations.
You will work closely with various stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement while maintaining high standards of quality.
Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to optimize procurement processes in the mining industry.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts and terms, and manage supplier relationships.
Ensure timely procurement of goods and services required for mining operations, while maintaining cost control and maximizing efficiency.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify procurement needs, forecast demand, and develop procurement plans.
Monitor supplier performance, track deliveries, and resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the procurement process.
Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies in all procurement activities.
Requirements Proven experience as a Procurement Manager in the mining industry.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices in the mining sector.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic mining environment.
Highly organized with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
