A well known Automotive client in Rosslyn is looking for a Process Engineer to join their team.
Purpose of the job: To monitor and control process parameters in the production department
Key Performance Areas: Process Control: Monitor products processedDocument and issue engineering change reportsEnsure that all processes are capable of supporting productionSet-up production line standardsOptimise plant lay-out to improve material and product flow in plantProduction: Monitor products processedEnsures correct start-up procedures are complied with and that the machinery is running at the start of the shiftEnsures that all reporting on machinery downtime/production is doneMonitors rejects and scrap and ensure scrap and reject targets are metAssist production controller is adhoc projectsQuality: Develop production systems to ensure product quality is maintained.Productivity improvements - Value engineering: Implement and make suggestions on productivity improvementsPlan and assist production areas regarding productivity improvementsContinuous improvement: Monitor continuous improvements and makes suggestions to maximise production output.Maintenance & Safety: Ensures all planned maintenance schedules are adhered toEnsure safe working conditions and the application of safe working practices.Supplier Relations: Manage suppliers in regard to new process development, monitoring delivery time, costs and qualityCompetencies: Knowledge and Skills: Functional KnowledgeBusiness ExpertiseLeadershipProblem SolvingInterpersonal SkillsIATF requirementsLean and World Class Manufacturing principalsStatistical Process ControlCAD DrawingsMinimum qualifications: Mechanical, Process or Industrial Engineering National DiplomaAdditional qualifications: 2 years' experience in process engineering in the Automotive Industry.Good working knowledge in ISO 9001:2000 and TS16949Please forward CV and ALL supporting documentation to,
