Press Brake Operator

Be part of an ever-expanding and thriving team.  Do you have experience as a Press Brake / Bend brake operator? This position will require you to shape and form metal components used in retail fixtures and displays, ensuring precision and quality in every piece. (The position is based in La Mercy, Durban at the Dube Tradepost) Key Duties:Operate bend brake machines to bend, fold, and shape metal sheets and plates according to specifications.Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements.Set up and adjust bend brakes, ensuring optimal performance and accurate bends.Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.Liaise with other team members to resolve issues and improve production processes.Maintain and clean equipment to prolong lifespan and ensure safety.Keep accurate records of production output and material usage. Qualifications:Minimum of a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.Proven experience as a Press Brake / Bend Brake Operator in a manufacturing setting.Knowledge of metalworking principles and bend brake operations.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Basic understanding of machine maintenance and safety procedures.Ability to work independently and as part of a team. THE SALARY FOR THIS POSITION IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MEIBC WAGES ON GRADE C IF YOU HAVE ALREADY APPLIED FOR THIS POSITION, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY AGAIN
