Plant Operator

RequirementsMatric (Grade 12 Certificate)Computer literate (Ms. Office)2 Years experience as a Plant operator in a milling environment.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Plant Operator has the responsibility to follow the sequence of the schedule unless authorisations is given to do otherwise.The Plant Operator will follow numerical order of mix numbers unless authorisation is given to do otherwise.The Production log sheet must be kept up to date at all times with bin selections and routes, mix numbers that was produced; the production schedule must be kept up to date. The feed that was produced must have a neat line ruled through them to indicate completion.The batching into the scale must be closely monitored and set tolerance maintained. These tolerances must not be exceededFinished product samples should be taken for each mixing number and finished product produced, by before- and after the truck has been loaded. These samples needs to be inspected for quality and are retained.
