Job Title: Planning EngineerLocation: Groblershoop - Northern CapeSalary: R50 000 - R65 000 - Depending on Qualifications and Experience Benefits: On- site accommodation and transport will be providedClosing date: End Sept 2024 Duties and responsibilities:Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.Coordinate with project stakeholders to identify project requirements, constraints, and milestones.Prepare detailed work plans, resource allocation schedules, and cost estimates for project execution.Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.Monitor project progress and performance against established schedules and key performance indicators.Analyze project data and provide regular reports to project management on project status, deviations, and corrective actions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and optimize resource utilization.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.Support project managers in decision-making by providing timely and accurate data analysis and recommendations.Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy).Proficient in Primavera software.Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and critical path analysis in the context of PV projects.6 - 10 years of experience in project planning using Primavera software in Solar, Substation and TL construction projects.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and industry trends is desirable.Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours as required by project demands.Professional Background:Seeking candidates with 6 to 10 years of overall experience in engineering roles to align with the project hierarchy and responsibilities.By submitting your information and application you hereby confirm:1.
