Job Description: Are you an experienced and innovative professional in PET processing and machinery maintenance?
Join a leading company as a PET Processor and take responsibility for ensuring production equipment operates optimally while maintaining exceptional product quality standards.
Location: Isando, Gauteng Key Responsibilities: Technical Expertise : Perform fault analysis and resolve technical issues related to production equipment, moulds, and processes.
Oversee product quality and ensure compliance with defined criteria.
Develop maintenance plans, conduct maintenance tasks, and document all activities.
Identify and manage spare parts inventory.
Machine Setting : Develop, set, and optimize machine settings for production runs.
Document settings and make adjustments as necessary to maintain production quality and efficiency.
Management & Collaboration : Liaise with Maintenance and Production Managers to align maintenance schedules and machine availability.
Build strong communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and technical teams.
Proactively research and suggest improvements for processes and systems.
Health, Safety, and Quality Compliance : Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Report and address safety hazards, incidents, and near misses.
Maintain high housekeeping standards in areas of responsibility.
Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) : Uphold food safety standards and practices in alignment with the site's FSMS.
Report food safety issues and maintain GMP standards specific to food-grade environments.
Self-Development and Innovation : Stay updated on industry innovations, technical improvements, and environmental concerns related to PET processing.
Build strong relationships with key suppliers and continually enhance skills through research and training.
Requirements: Education : Grade 12 (Matric).
Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience : Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in machine setting and technical fault resolution in PET processing.
Key Competencies : In-depth understanding of machinery drawings, fault-finding fundamentals, and safe working procedures.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Ability to act with urgency and maintain high standards of emotional intelligence and interpersonal relationships.
