Job Description Red Ember Recruitment is recruiting a Payroll Specialist for one of our clients based in Pretoria.
In this role, you will perform contracted human resource services, more specifically payroll processing for various clients.

The nature of your job is to support clients by processing their payrolls in compliance with legislative requirements whilst building and maintaining sustainable client relationships to ensure recurring business.

What you'll do: Responsibilities What you can expect on a typical day: Processing of payrolls which entails payroll preparation, interpreting and applying statutory changes / requirements and maintaining the payroll system.
Ensuring Compliance which requires contributing to the improvement of internal systems and processes, implementing payroll best practices, and mitigating potential risks to clients.
Contributing to Financial Performance of the company through brand building which requires creating a pleasing customer experience through efficient and effective service delivery.
Building and Maintaining Client Relationships by treating the client with respect and professionalism.
Requirements TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Qualifications: A diploma / degree in commerce / human resources or any related qualification/experience.
Experience: 3 - 5 years payroll experience or experience as an HRIS practitioner with payroll systems experience (Sage300 and/or Premier) Proficiency in Excel Knowledge: Knowledge of SA payroll tax legislation Basic Knowledge of SA labour legislation Attributes: Ability to work on your own – taking ownership Ability to work under pressure Bonus points for these: Experience in Payroll Outsourcing environment will be advantageous Knowledge of other African countries payroll tax legislation will be advantageous Benefits Our mandatory components in the CTC are medical aid and provident fund.

Experience of Sage 300 People and/or Premier.
Batch processing of salaries.
Good analytical and excel skills with excellent attention to detail.
