Job DescriptionRed Ember recruitment is recruiting for a Payroll Officer for their client in Cape Town.Preference will be given to candidates with the following experience and skills:Bachelor's degree/diploma in accounting, human resources, or a similar field4 - 5 years working experience as a payroll officerMS Office Suite (Advanced level in excel - Pivots, vlookups, xlookups etc)Strong interpersonal skillsStrong administrative skillsGood communication skillsGood time management skillsFriendly yet assertive personalityAbility to work under pressureAttention to detail with a flair for accuracyResponsibilities:Collecting of weekly and monthly employee timesheetsUpdate and ensure correct time and attendance is capturedCalculating employee work hoursCalculating employee benefits and deductionsPreparing payroll reportsResponding to employee questions about compensation, taxes, benefits, and deductionsEntering new employee data into the company databasePreparation and submission of statutory returnsGeneral admin duties associated with the positionAssistance with the preparation of annual auditAdhere to all deadlines set by management
