Details of the offer

The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and experience in payroll administration.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:

Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, wages, and deductions.
Maintain and update payroll records, including employee details, tax information, and leave balances.
Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and tax regulations.
Calculate and process statutory deductions such as PAYE, UIF, and other contributions.
Prepare and distribute pay slips, ensuring employees receive their payments on time.
Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Prepare payroll reports for management and assist with financial audits.
Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.
Assist with the administration of employee benefits and ensure accurate deductions.
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar payroll processing role.
Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and labor laws.
Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Sage, VIP) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
