Our client is seeking a Pattern Maker (Lectra Graded) to join their team, based in Durban.Minimum Requirements:-Relevant Tertiary qualificationMinimum 2 years' experienceLectra patternmaking and grading experienceDuties:-Responsible for completion of the master production pattern for various size ranges and design silhouettesResponsible to create basic blocks for all fabric types in various silhouettesCreate patterns from design sketch on a computer (via manipulation of blocks or adjustment of the existing pattern) to achieve the desired style and correct fitEnsure that each pattern is developed within the set standards of size, construction methods and pattern making quality standardsCheck each pattern for accuracy throughout the process and quality of each patternAssess garments once made up from a pattern for quality of workmanship and fitBe able to advise the factory of alternative construction methods and pattern engineering to obtain a better fitWork with internal teams to be able to develop or send block patterns to suppliers to base new styling and fit on\Be able to build and maintain a library of patterns in computer from suppliers to ensure their pattern is according to fabric reaction and is correct at PPS stageMeeting with designers to review the final productTweaking the pattern and filing the designEmail your CV + supporting documentation to ******.
