Our client, an independently owned and managed automotive dealership is looking for an experienced and passionate Parts sales manager.
As the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the current team across, ensuring efficient management of orders and reporting.
Your role will involve coordinating with the service department to optimize lead times, managing tracking metrics such as sales performance, inventory turnover, and profit margins, as well as analysing data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Additionally, you will be tasked with controlling expenses to maintain a profitable parts department.
Remuneration: A competitive salary of ± R 25 000 Negotiable based on experience plus productivity bonuses – Benefits including Provident Fund, Medical Aid, Company Vehicle and Fuel and Cell Phone Allowance.
Duties include: Must have a good understanding of both internal and external Parts Sales – Service Workshop, Sales, Over the Counter operations and Panel.
Must understand the full value chain workings of Parts, from ordering, receiving, stocking, sales, dispatch, logistics and invoicing.
Good leadership and team qualities and the required levels of EQ in managing and interacting with all stakeholders.
Staff coaching and HR understanding Warehousing Perpetual stock counts Quarterly stock counts Purchases in terms of re-order categories and not increasing redundant stock value.
Strategy on disposing of dead stock not including OEM buybacks.
Backorders, stock adjustments, parts store security, binning and other standards, workshop counter, despatch and courier where required.
Stocking of parts, intercompany accounts recon Parts department controls implementation & monitoring Customer Care and weekly business retention visits to ensure parts growth & retention.
