CourierIT invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Operations Manager position based in Cape Town. The role is responsible for managing CourierIT Operations, monitoring and controlling branch operations through intelligent planning in line with CourierIT Service Level Agreement. To deliver efficient and cost-effective functionality and sustained profitability of the business operation. To ensure the smooth and optimum running / use of company infrastructure.• Route Planning • Vehicle Allocation and Utilization • SLA / Service level management • Vehicle departure time management • Late Delivery management • Cage Exception report management • Delivery due date management • All SOP relating to Drivers • Managing trans-shipments• Managing and training loading checkers and supervisors• Outstanding POD Management• POD Quality Management• All SOP relating to driver de-briefing and pod accepting• Returns management • Loaded not assigned management / Assigned not loaded management• Endorse POD management• Manage and control of all floor staff and delegate them with functions and making sure all tasks are performed• Dealing with daily queries via telephone or e mail• Liaising and co ordinating with all branches• Handle all aspects of HR pertaining to the departmentMinimum Qualification and Skills requirement: • Grade 12 Senior Certificate (Matric)• 3-year degree / 3-year diploma would be an advantage• Minimum 10 years' experience supervising / managing operations• Must have experience and knowledge in managing operational systems• Must be willing to work night shift, weekends and Public Holidays• Must have the capability to plan, organise, control and perform under pressure• Must have managerial / leadership skills Ability to anticipate and solve problems
