Operational Manager - Quarries (Hard Rock) Eastern Cape, Eastern Cape, South Africa13 May 2022Seeking an Aggregate (Hard Rock) Quarry Manager to lead the quarries and raw materials department team. Based in the Eastern Cape, East London/KWT.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlan, manage, organize and control the processes and resources to ensure that the defined quantity of raw materials is delivered on time, within the specified uniformity, quality and budgeted costs.Undertake actions to improve and optimize production performance.Contribute to plant's cost performance through sustainable operations and continuous optimization of raw mix (aggregate).Health & SafetyBudget & Cost ControlGovernanceDesired Experience & QualificationGrade 12 (Matric)Minimum 5-10 Years' experience as a production manager of a QuarryOther requirements include:In-depth knowledge of the aggregate quarrying processesFair knowledge of GeologyGood knowledge of mining related legislationExceptional management and leadership skillsFast and accurate decision-making skillsTeam player and very good communicatorAnalytical and inquisitive natureTolerance for stressNOTESLicense/Certification: Driver's license + other (Required)Willingness to travel: +25% (Preferred)Relocation: If you are considering relocation to this area please plan and secure your family support ahead of application.
