Oil Storage Warehouse Supervisor

RPO Recruitment's client is seeking an experienced Storage Warehouse Supervisor for a logistics company. This dynamic role involves leading a team responsible for handling and storing oil products. The supervisor will manage daily operations to meet company targets and customer requirements, ensuring staff adhere to health, safety, and standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shippingDevelop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse space, maximize productivity, and reduce costsEnsure accuracy and timeliness of all inbound and outbound shipmentsOversee inventory management, including cycle counts, stock replenishment, and product rotationImplement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environmentTrain and develop warehouse associates, providing leadership and guidance to foster a high-performance cultureWork collaboratively with other departments to address any operational issues and improve overall efficiencyMaintain accurate records and prepare reports on warehouse activities, performance, and inventory levels
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related fieldPrevious experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, preferably in an oil or automotive industryEffective supervisory skills and techniquesProficient in data analysis, especially ExcelHands-on approach to tasksExperience managing warehouse staff and operations, preferably in automotiveProven leadership of diverse teamsAt least 3 years of supervisory experienceSkilled in inventory controlKnowledge of warehouse health, safety, and security requirementsUnderstanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 standardsFamiliar with warehousing KPIs and best practicesProficient in warehouse management softwareForklift Truck license requiredReach Truck license preferred
